Starting on Rocky’s Feet

Rocky’s hind feet are always drawn as long and plain grey, with only two toes suggested by a midline, and no paw pads on the underside)
My costume version of Rocky’s feet are being built on a pair of simple grey deck shoes with elastic inserts rather than laces. I’ve added pull straps to them to make them easier to get on after they are built up and furred.
The shoes have been extended with shaped pieces of Nu-Foam to match Rocky’s long feet. I’ve pieced fur covers (after shaving the fur down to plush) for those extensions, and will be quilting black braid into the assembly to create Rocky’s two toed-feet.
Then I have to piece fur covers for the back of the shoes (and extensions up over my ankles.
