Getting Further Along!***

Now that the skull masks are painted, we needed the rest of the heads.
After adding elastic loops to close the jaws, and another, adjustable bad of 1” elastic that goes behind our head to secure it*, we considered our options. PAWCon is only 3 days away!

We decided to go for simple fur hoods, from grey and green fur** left over from my Rocket J Squirrel project. The upper edge was trimmed back slightly to match the ridge at the top of the mask, and I secured everything into the foam with U-pins so we can revisit the design later. I also used hot glue and some black chiffon to blank out the eye holes.

mine (the grey fur) is done, with a simple 6” drape added to the bottom of the hood, Andy’s (the green fur) just needs the drape added. These were all sewn with the invisible seaming technique I learned while building Rocky.
